SC notice to Gujarat Govt on Jaswant book ban

The SC on Tuesday issued a notice to the provincial government of Gujarat on a petition filed by expelled leader of BJP Jaswant Singh questioning the state government's contention to ban his book - Jinnah: India, Partition-Independence. The Apex court asked the Gujarat government to clarify its stand on the issue and posted the matter for further hearing to September 8.
