Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested on Tuesday on charges of allegedly submitting forged law degree while filing his nomination for the assembly polls. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of political vendetta, saying that Tomar was arrested just to put pressure on him and questioned the motive behind the arrest. Speaking out against the Centre and LG on two recent events that unfolded in the Capital, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said that attempts were being made to create an emergency like situation in Delhi. "In the past three-odd months since we formed government, our biggest achievement has been to curb corruption. All corrupt people are now getting together and trying to create emergency like situation".
