Mariupol 'pounded' by Russia; Port city acts as a gateway for Ukrainian exports

Ukrainian city of Mariupol been left without electricity following attacks from Russian Forces. The port city around 600km southeast of Kyiv; Mariupol acts as a gateway for Ukrainian exports. After the ouster of the pro-kremlin Ukrainian President in 2014, Mariupol was briefly under Russian control. Mariupol lies between the area held by separatists & the Crimean Peninsula (annexed by Moscow in 2014).
