India's big attack on China after Xi Jinping wins 3rd term; Blames Chinese PLA for LAC standoff

The External Affairs Ministry has held China's 'unilateral attempts to alter status quo at the LAC' as the reason for the strained bilateral ties. In its annual report, MEA states that India's engagement with China is "complex" and that China's actions at the border starting from April-May 2020 seriously disturbed the peace and tranquility in border areas. The MEA, however, noted that both sides have agreed to resolve the issues through peaceful dialogue.
