PM Modi reaches US, greets Indian-Americans; to meet Kamala Harris, CEOs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Washington on Wednesday on an official visit to the US. PM will hold the first face-to-face meeting with President Joe Biden & his deputy Kamala Harris. He will attend the maiden in-person Quad summit & address 76th session of UNGA in New York. The prime minister is visiting the US for the 7th time after assuming office in 2014. PM Modi said his visit would strengthen Indo-US Strategic Partnership & consolidate ties with Japan, Australia. He was received by officials of Biden Administration & Indian envoy to US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Despite heavy rains, a bunch of Indian Americans were also there at Andrews Joint Airforce Base. Prime Minister Modi has a packed agenda in the United States over the next three days. PM Modi will also hold one-on-one meetings with five top executives from the United States.
