Russia claims west provoking missile arms race: Burevestnik development a ‘forced response’ | watch

Days after Putin’s nuclear missile tests, Russian Foreign Ministry’s Maria Zakharova claimed Moscow is “forced” to develop next-gen weapons like Burevestnik in response to NATO’s destabilizing moves. In a fiery briefing, Zakharova accused the U.S. and Europe of pushing for a “technological catastrophe” in Ukraine, weaponizing sanctions, and stealing Russian assets. She warned that NATO’s “destabilizing actions” had compelled Russia to strengthen its deterrence forces and end cooperation agreements with Washington. Calling Western policies “reckless and greedy,” Zakharova vowed Moscow would respond with “firm and guaranteed resistance.”
