Tharoor’s blistering attack on Modi govt over Manipur; ‘President’s rule imposed only because…’

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said his party supports the President’s Rule in Manipur, during a resolution in the Lok Sabha to approve the same but added that it should be used to restore peace and health to the state. “Those responsible for maintaining law and order have not done their duty. No decisive action was taken for almost two years. It was imposed only when the CM resigned before the state assembly was set to reconvene. Congress party had already prepared a no-confidence motion.
