Opposition MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and several leaders from the INDIA bloc, marched from the Gandhi statue at Prerna Sthal to Makar Dwar in Parliament on Thursday to protest against the Centre over multiple issues.
The Opposition targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding answers over the alleged police action against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protestors during the July 20 'Chalo Sansad' march. The MPs also raised the issue of the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, along with other matters concerning governance and accountability.
The protest comes amid continued confrontations between the Opposition and the government during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, with several key legislations and contentious political issues dominating proceedings.
