The Lebanese armed group, Hezbollah, claimed that its fighters have attacked the Israeli military site near the border in the north early on August 16 morning. According to Al Jazeera, Hezbollah militants targeted the IDF's Ruwaysat al-Alam in the Kfarchouba hills. Hezbollah claimed that they directly attacked the IDF base with "appropriate weapons." This is the fifth attack on an Israeli military base in a week ahead of Iran's expected revenge strike after the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
