German Chancellor Olaf Scholz came out in defense of Europe after United States Vice President JD Vance slammed America’s western allies over democracy and free speech. “We will not accept that people who look at Germany from the outside intervene in our democracy and our elections and in the democratic opinion-forming process in the interest of this party,” Scholz said at the Munich Security Conference, the same platform from where Vance launched a blistering attack on Europe.
