EU advises Pakistan against talks with Al -Qaeda

Javier Solana, foreign policy chief of the European Union's said Pakistan should resist talking with Al-Qaeda in its efforts to quell militancy in tribal areas bordering Afghanistan. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Solana said Al-Qaeda leaders were operating outside Pakistan's law and constitution. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, however said the government wanted to give dialogue a full chance.
