The father of a two-year-old boy who survived a TransAsia plane crash told a local broadcaster how he saved his son's life by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him before rescue workers were able to reach them. He says he was confident performing CPR after years of training at work. Lin's family had changed seats during boarding so they could sit together in the back of the plane. Coincidentally, it was the one section that remained intact even after in crashed into Taipei's Keelung river.
