Pakistani protesters to launch "long march"

All eyes are on Pakistan as former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to hold a long march from Karachi to Sindh on Thursday amid fears of some kind of army action. Pakistani authorities banned protests and rounded up hundreds of activists on Wednesday, officials said, a day before a rally by lawyers and opposition parties that could destablise a fragile, year-old government.
