Security in Pakistan has been tightened as members of the national and provincial assemblies began voting for the presidential elections on Saturday. The election got underway at Parliament House in Islamabad and the provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, North West Frontier Province and Balochistan at 10 am. President Pervez Musharraf goes into the presidential contest being sured of gaining enough votes to win re-election for another 5-year term, but the Supreme Court may not let him claim victory.
