A Hong Kong man has made his own female robot, modelled after a famous Hollywood actress. The robot is named Mark 1, and has been solely built by Ricky Ma. He does not want to say which actress the robot has been modelled after but he says she can respond to a set of pre-programmed questions. Ma spent a year and a half, and more than $50,000 to make it from scratch.Ma used 3D-printing technology to make its skeleton, skin and body, but the process was not entirely smooth-sailing.He hopes to sell this prototype to build more, and also wants to write a book about his experience to help other robot enthusiasts.
