Iran war update: The United Arab Emirates raised crude oil production to a record high in June, marking its strongest response yet to supply disruptions caused by the Iran conflict, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

In its monthly report, the IEA said the UAE pumped an average of 4.1 million barrels per day last month, surpassing its previous record of 4 million barrels per day set in 2020 during a brief oil price war with Saudi Arabia over OPEC policy.

The increase comes after the UAE's exit from OPEC and reflects Abu Dhabi's efforts to offset disruptions to global oil supplies during the conflict.

Iran war update: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that the conflict with Iran is "not over yet," saying Israel is preparing for all possible scenarios as tensions continue to rise following the collapse of the Washington-Tehran truce.

Speaking at an Israeli Air Force graduation ceremony at Hatzerim Air Base on Thursday, Netanyahu said maintaining Israel's air superiority remained central to the country's defence strategy. He added that while Iran had suffered significant setbacks, new security challenges were emerging.

"The Iranian regime has been dealt a severe blow, and our policy is clear that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, whether with or without an agreement. If we had not acted, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons; the war is not over yet, and new challenges are emerging before us," Netanyahu said, as quoted by local media outlets.

His remarks come amid renewed regional tensions following the breakdown of the ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.

Iran war update: Oil prices steadied on Friday after a volatile week, as the US and Iran continued technical talks despite renewed fighting that disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude traded near $76 a barrel after falling more than 2% in the previous session, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) traded below $72 a barrel.

US-Iran war LIVE: Two people were injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted a garbage truck in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA).

The strike hit a pickup truck on the outskirts of Shukin and Kfar Dajjal in the Nabatieh district at around 6 am local time while it was unloading waste, the agency reported.

According to Lebanese authorities, the latest attack comes despite Lebanon and Israel signing a US-sponsored framework agreement on June 26 outlining a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.

Lebanese officials say Israel's military campaign since March 2 has killed 4,321 people and injured 12,203 others.

US-Iran war LIVE: The US Central Command (CENTCOM) on Friday rejected Iran's claim that transit through the Strait of Hormuz is permitted only via routes designated by Tehran.

Refuting the assertion, CENTCOM said US forces have facilitated the safe passage of more than 800 commercial vessels and 380 million barrels of crude oil through the strategic waterway since early May.

In a post on X, CENTCOM said, "CLAIM: Iranian state media claims that transit through the Strait of Hormuz is only permitted through routes designated by Iran. TRUTH: Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz. Since early May, U.S. forces have helped facilitate the successful transit of more than 800 commercial vessels and 380 million barrels of crude oil through the vital international trade corridor."

US-Iran war LIVE: More liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers have resumed transiting the Strait of Hormuz in recent days despite renewed fighting in the Middle East, according to ship-tracking data.

Data from Kpler and LSEG showed that at least five ballast LNG tankers have entered the strategic waterway in recent days. Separately, Japan said 22 Japan-linked vessels have departed the Gulf since Tuesday.

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil and LNG shipments, has been under close scrutiny after Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and US retaliatory strikes on Iran disrupted maritime traffic through the region.
