Candace Owens appeared to make a U-turn on what she'd said regarding Charlie Kirk's case, after Erika Kirk called her out during an interview, asking her to ‘stop’ spreading conspiracies. The Turning Point USA CEO was speaking to CBS News when she addressed the conservative podcaster directly.

Owens has had a lot of theories in the wake of Erika Kirk's husband, and TPUSA founder, Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10. However, she's not backed any of them up with proof.

She's pointed fingers at everyone from the Israeli government to TPUSA leadership, and the US military, without any evidence to support her claims. Now, Erika Kirk has gotten more involved and has in the past sent a message to Owens to ease off as well, referring to conspiracy theories as ‘mind virus’.

What Candace Owens said

Owens was confronted by a fan on her own show. The fan pointed out that Owens had said that she'd ‘stop’ if Erika Kirk told her to ‘stop’ and noted that this had now transpired. The fan urged Owens to honor her words and Charlie Kirk and stop her investigation.

However, Owens said that Erika Kirk didn't ask her to stop, but rather she asked her to ‘stop lying’. “Until she tells me which lies I've told, I won't stop,” she added.

The same person also posted a compilation of times in the past when Owens had hinted that only Erika Kirk could get her to shut up about Charlie.

Owens and Erika Kirk have been locked horns recently, with the TPUSA CEO using her interviews as a platform to try and shut down conspiracy theories, all of which have prompted a response from the podcaster on her episodes.

Authorities, meanwhile, have arrested Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utah native in the case, and Robinson made his first appearance in person in court today.
