Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck while speaking under a white pop up tent at Utah Valley University. He was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead shortly after. Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested and charged with his murder.

Following her husband’s death, Erika Kirk was named chair and CEO of Turning Point USA. A Phoenix native and former Miss Arizona USA, she has long been active in conservative politics and was already a regular speaker at Turning Point events.
