Jake Lang, the far-right activist, took part in a rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday. Initially called the ‘N-March’, the rally led by Lang and local far-right organizations marched to Minneapolis City Hall, reportedly calling for the resignation of Mayor Jacob Frey.

Local ABC affiliate 5 KSTP.com reported that the rally was met with counter-protesters near the City Hall and clashes broke out between members of the two groups. The report added that Jake Lang was crowded by the protesters, but he reportedly left the area in his car.

Videos surfaced from the scene that showed a car being attacked by counter protesters as it left the Minneapolis City Hall area. According to KSTP, Lang was not seen outside his car, even, as he was the one who organized the rally. However, eyewitnesses on social media claimed that it was Jake Lang inside the car his crew allegedly pepper sprayed some of the counter protestors.

Another video shared by journalist Oliya Scootercaster allegedly showed a counterprotester being pepper-sprayed amid the clashes. He seems to be in visible pain but manages to get up and leave the area.

Some of the counter-protestors claimed that Jake Lang's crew were using bear mace on the counter protestors. Bear mace is a non-lethal deterrent to stop charging bears.

The rally was originally announced by Jake Lang on July 24. He described it as a “peaceful freedom of speech rally” and added that Siloh Hendrix would be one of the guests.

The KTSP report added that it was not clear immediately if Hendrix was present there.

What Happened At Jake Lang's Dearborn Rally?

Saturday in Minneapolis was the second time in less than a week that Jake Lang and members of his group has clashed with counterprotesters. Earlier on August 18, he was in Dearborn, Michigan, for an anti-Muslim demonstration called the "Christian Crusade March."

As Ht.com had reported, supporters of Lang were met with counterprotesters outside the Dearborn City Council meeting, where Lang also spoke. However, the clashed were not major and the protestors argued and shouted slogans with each other.

Dearborn City Council President Michael Sareini issued a statement thanking the residents for exercise restraint.

"We had a plan that was executed flawlessly, and Dearborn won yesterday," she said. "We protected the Constitution and the laws of the state of Michigan and the laws of the United States of America, and we will do that every time."
