A strong earthquake jolted northwestern Argentina, the national seismic institute Inpres and the US National Geological Survey said.

A strong earthquake jolted northwestern Argentina on Wednesday, the national seismic institute Inpres and the US National Geological Survey said.
The 6.0-strength quake struck 170 kilometers (100 miles) northeast of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, at a depth of 570 kilometers.
There were no reports of casualties nor damage, according to Inpres.
