A minor girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Janta Nagar here on Tuesday evening, said police.

A minor girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at her house in Janta Nagar here on Tuesday evening, said police.

The girl Muskan, 11, was a student of fifth standard. She was at home along with her younger brother, while her parents were at their respective work places.

Her brother had also gone to play outside. When the girl's father came home, he found her hanging. She was subsequently brought down and rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.

The girl used a stole to hang herself. It is not clear what prompted her to end her life. The police have registered a case in this regard.
