I like working on my birthdays: Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchan, who is currently shooting for SRK-starrer Happy New Year, turns 38 today. We catch up with the actor, talking about his birthday plans, gifts, future films and more.
Abhishek Bachchan likes his birthdays to be jam-packed.
This is why he will be shooting for Happy New Year during the day and rehearsing to host an awards show later.
He talks to us about special memories and why age is just a number.
Do birthdays make you reflect on life?
No. A birthday is just another day where you go to work and people give you love. Age is just a state of mind and you are as old as you think you are. You have to count your blessings and be happy.
Do you consider working birthdays lucky?
I like working on my birthday, so I always do. All the
films were shot on my birthday, and so were Bunty Aur Babli (2005) and Bol Bachchan (2012). This year will be busy with
and All Is Well.
What are your fondest birthday memories?
Birthdays are always memorable as you gets gifts. I am still close to my childhood friends so I reminisce about our 5th or 6th birthdays. I feel blessed to still have these friends.
What is the best gift you have ever got?
The best gift for an actor is the love of the fans. Many make sweet cards, write letters and even come and meet me wherever I am in India. The love and blessings of your elders is also always cherished, but the extra mile that the fans go to is memorable.
