The PPP chief couldn't be contacted as he left for London on Friday morning. But, Jasbir Singh, an aide of the PPP chief on whose cell phone (9915200049) Bhola had spoken to Manpreet Badal, confirmed having received calls from a person "who had identified himself as Bhola and sought help to support his contention that investigation of the drug racket case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)." It was 10.30am on January 7 when Bhola lodged in the new district jail in Nabha used the prison phone (9316383705 which the inmates can use) to make the first call on the cellphone of Manpreet's personal assistant (PA) Jasbir. The first call lasted 57 seconds. Again at 10.38am, Bhola spoke with Manpreet on the same cellphone number and the duo talked for 166 seconds (a little less than 3 minutes), according to call detail records that Punjab Police have procured.
