Punjab farmers to get training in integrated crop production

Young rural farmers of Punjab will be given three months’ training in integrated crop production from August 3 to November 2, 2015.

All matriculate farmers between 20 and 40 years are eligible for the course, said a government spokesperson.

Interested candidates can get application forms from the office of directorate of extension or Kairon Kisan Ghar of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. The last date to deposit forms is July 29.

Interviews will be conducted at 10am at PAU on July 30. Candidates should bring their matriculation certificate as well as one age proof. Selected candidates will have to deposit `1000 as security which will be refundable only to candidates who complete their course. The course fee is `300 whereas the lodging fee is `100 per month, said the spokesperson.
