Bengaluru couple injured in LPG explosion at Fraser Town apartment: Report

A powerful explosion, suspected to be caused by an LPG leak, left a couple critically injured at their Fraser Town apartment in Bengaluru early Wednesday morning.

According to a report by Deccan Herald, the injured have been identified as Siddesh and Cilara Jacob. The explosion, which occurred around 5 am, startled neighbours, who soon realized there was a gas leak. The couple suffered severe burns and were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities, including the fire department and police, were alerted following the blast. The impact caused extensive damage to the couple’s first-floor apartment, particularly in the kitchen, and shattered windowpanes.

While an investigation is underway, officials suspect a gas leak as the likely cause of the explosion, Deccan Herald reported.
