Karnataka: KSRTC to operate 2,000 special buses from Bengaluru for Ugadi, Ramzan festivities

The special services will run from March 28 to March 30, 2025, catering to passengers traveling from Bengaluru to various destinations across Karnataka.

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced that it will operate 2,000 additional buses to accommodate the festive rush for Ugadi and Ramzan.

The special services will run from March 28 to March 30, 2025, catering to passengers traveling from Bengaluru to various destinations across Karnataka and neighboring states.

Return services will operate from various intra-state and inter-state locations to Bengaluru on March 31.

Routes covered

Kempegowda Bus Station: Special buses will be available to destinations such as Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.

Mysuru Road Bus Station: Buses will be operated to Mysuru, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, and Madikeri.

Shanthinagar BMTC Bus Station (TTMC): Premier buses will run to destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, including Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode.

Online booking and discounts

KSRTC has also provided an online booking facility via its official website www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in, allowing passengers to reserve tickets in advance. Booking counters in Karnataka and neighboring states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puducherry, Maharashtra, and Goa will also facilitate reservations.

Passengers booking four or more tickets in a single transaction will receive a 5% discount, while those booking round-trip tickets will get a 10% discount on the return journey fare.

KSRTC has assured that details regarding departure locations and timings for the special services are available on the corporation’s website and reservation tickets. Additionally, special buses will be arranged from district and taluk bus stands as per passenger demand.
