Addressing a meeting at Ghawandal Chowk, the CM announced that a government degree college will be opened at Swarghat in Naina Devi assembly segment.

The CM said the government will take over Shakti Senior Secondary School, Naina Devi and open a Primary Education Block office in Naina Devi. “The primary health centre in Bhakra wil be upgraded to a community health centre, an Auyrvedic dispensary will be opened at Dhulet and funds will be provided for building link roads in the area.”

He also directed officials to look into upgrading government middle schools in Mandayali, Swana, Dadoh, Bhated, Sidhsuh, Samtehan and Uttper. He said Uttper School will be renamed after Vijay Kumar, who laid down his life for the country.

Thakur paid obeisance at the Naina Devi Temple and also flagged off an HRTC Bus on the Naina Devi-Kolanwala Toba-Shimla route.
