Udyog Bhawan Metro station renamed Seva Teerth Bhawan: DMRC
The decision was announced in connection with the inauguration of the Seva Teerth complex in the national capital on Friday, symbolising a renewed emphasis on service-oriented governance.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday confirmed that Udyog Bhawan Metro station is being renamed Seva Teerth Bhawan station, following an announcement by Union housing and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The decision was announced in connection with the inauguration of the Seva Teerth complex in the national capital on Friday, symbolising a renewed emphasis on service-oriented governance. The Seva Teerth complex brings together key institutions such as the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat, which were previously operating from different locations across Delhi.
Speaking at the event, Khattar said the government is working towards the vision of a “Viksit Bharat”, underlining efforts to modernise administrative infrastructure and improve governance efficiency.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two new buildings — Kartavya Bhawan 1 and Kartavya Bhawan 2 — during the ceremony. He also released a commemorative postage stamp and coin to mark the occasion.
Inaugurating the new PMO building along with Kartavya Bhawan 1 and 2, Modi said the towers have been built to fulfil the aspirations of the people of India and strengthen the functioning of the central administration.
