Yogi Adityanath government signs MoUs for over ₹76k crore investments at meet in Lucknow
The Yogi Adityanath government had organised roadshows in the lead-up to the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit to be held in the state capital Lucknow on February 10-12.
The Yogi Adityanath government on Wednesday signed 79 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with top companies for investment of over ₹76,867 crore in Uttar Pradesh. The MoUs were signed at a roadshow held in Lucknow.
Later in the day, industrialists met chief minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence for tea.
The City Golden Corporation group proposed the biggest investment of ₹26,000 crore in cement and ethanol projects. NexGen Energia was the second biggest investor with a proposal of ₹15,000 crore in green gas energy.
Haryana-based Varun Beverages, the biggest bottling plant of PepsiCo outside United States, has proposed investment of ₹3400 crore.
Addressing investors, industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ said: “Uttar Pradesh has become a dream destination for investment.”
“In the recently concluded roadshows in 21 cities across 16 countries, the government received investment proposals of ₹7 lakh crore,” he added.

The industrial development minister apprised investors of seven operational airports in the state and 90 flights from them.
“Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to have six expressways,” he said. Michael Tibolo, minister of mental health and addiction, government of Ontario, Canada, was the special guest at the event.
Several investors also expressed their views at the event.
Prominent among those who shared their experience were Varun Beverages executive director and chief operating officer Kamlesh Jain, Haldiram Group’s manager commerce Sanjay Singhania, Crystal Crop Protection Limited president Nand Kishore Agarwal and Kent RO System president Mahesh Gupta.
