Run out chance! Fuller and outside off, Gull Feroza drives towards extra cover and sets off, but Fatima Sana is going nowhere. The fielder has a clear shy at the bowler's end, but misses as Sana dives to make her ground. A direct hit would have had her in serious trouble.

Flatter and on off, Gull forces it to the left of mid off and looks for a run. Fatima is ball-watching and Gull has to return. She is not happy with her skipper.

SIX! Out of here! Fatima Sana is proving to be the X-factor for Pakistan again. It's a googly around middle, but Sana is already down the track, picks the variation beautifully and heaves it in front of square leg for a towering six.

FOUR! Poor ball and duly punished! Tossed up, full and down the leg side, Fatima Sana gets down and sweeps it firmly behind square on the leg side. There is no stopping that as it races away for four.

FOUR! A boundary out of nowhere! Chamudi Praboda deceives Gull Feroza in flight, dragging the batter forward before dropping it short and wide as she charges. Gull reaches out and gets enough on it, with the ball flying off the toe end and threading the gap at cover-point before racing away.

Sharp spin from outside off, Sana is forced to defend it off the back foot. Top over, only one run off it.

Floated and on off, holding up a bit, Sana defends it down from the back foot.

Pitches it up and outside off, Gull Feroza drives against the spin and forces it to deep extra cover for one.

Loop again, full and outside off, spinning in, Gull tries to drive but gets an inside edge.

OUT! STUMPED! A left-arm spinner's delight. Impressive stuff by the 17-year-old. Floated up by Chamudi from around the wicket, just outside off. Shamas gives the bowler the premeditated charge but is undone by the flight. She can't reach the pitch of the ball to smother the spin. It lands and spins past the blade, and Sadaf is at a point of no return. The keeper, Kaushini Nuthyangana, lets the ball come to her and keeps the gloves behind the line of the stumps. She gathers it neatly and breaks the stumps to catch the batter well short of the crease.

Nearly sneaked through! Darts in a full ball at pace, on middle. Shamas takes the risk of playing across the line but is rushed and just about manages to eke out an inside edge onto the pads.

OUT! CAUGHT! Another fine grab by the keeper as Kaushini and Chamari combine once again. Athapaththu pulls her length back, and this is bowled quicker through the air. Zafar hops back and gives herself room for the cut. The ball is not all that short for the cut, and it skids through to graze the underedge of the blade. Kaushini Nuthyangana gets her gloves in the correct position and holds onto the catch.

FOUR! Through the gap! Looped up by Chamari, on off. Zafar waits for the ball to arrive and gets her hands through the line of the ball as she forces the drive between cover and extra cover for a four.

Was that a chance? Dropped short, slower and at the hips. Zafar crouches to shovel it behind square leg but is early into the shot. The ball grazes her glove and pops up off her thigh pad and deflects off the toe end of the bat before going behind towards the keeper. Kaushini Nuthyangana moves to her left and has a couple of cracks at it but fumbles the chance as the ball drops to the ground.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Chamari Athapaththu answers right back and she is pumped up, letting out a big roar. Zulfiqar's promising stay has been cut short. Not the best of balls, though by Chamari. This is pushed through, on the shorter side, down leg. Shawaal hops inside the line for the glance but gets a tickle on it. The keeper, Kaushini Nuthyangana, moves to her left and even though there is a healthy deflection, she is equal to the task.

SIX! Clean strike. Tossed up by Chamari, full and turning into the hitting arc for the right-hander. Zulfiqar gets down on one knee and clubs it over the deep mid-wicket fence for a biggie.

And again. Fired in at the pads, on a good length. Zulfiqar tries to shovel it away but is beaten for pace. Wide not given as the ball grazed the pads of the batter.

Gets away with it! Chamari Athapaththu starts with a loosener, a bit too short, turning down leg. Zulfiqar swivels and pulls it straight to short fine leg.

Nails another yorker, on off. Gull hurriedly gets her bat down. Toe-ends it to short third. Another tidy over by Sugandika Kumari.

No run, the cover drive is played but the result is a dot.

Shorter and on middle. Zulfiqar hangs back and wrists it in front of square on the leg side for one more run.

Full and around the pads. Shawaal Zulfiqar attempts the sweep but fails to make any connection. A leg bye is taken as the ball goes off the pads, wide of short fine leg.

Very full, on middle. Gull digs it out down the deck. Sugandika Kumari dives to her right but cannot make the stop. They cross.

FOUR! Hit hard and wide enough! A productive over for Pakistan as 14 runs come off it. Full and a hint of away shape, on off. Zulfiqar swings through the line and connects cleanly. Smashes it uppishly and the mid-off fielder is in business for a moment. She stretches her hands out to her left, but the ball stays out of her reach and rockets to the fence.

SIX! Off the top edge, but it still goes all the way. Mithali got away with a full toss earlier in the over but not this time. Sliding onto the pads, Zulfiqar gets low to swipe it away behind square leg but the ball is skied off a top edge behind square leg and it drops beyond the fence.

Nails the yorker, on off. Zulfiqar digs it out.

FOUR! Nicely done. Fractionally short, on off. Zulfiqar hangs back and lets the ball come on. Plays the short-arm jab uppishly but away from the reach of the mid-wicket fielder to her left for the first boundary of the contest.

Missed out! Mithali Ayodhya slips in a low full toss, on the pads. A boundary opportunity for Zulfiqar with fine leg up inside the circle but she picks out the short fine leg fielder.

Full and on off, driven to mid off.

OUT! CAUGHT! Sri Lanka land the first blow. Muneeba Ali falls cheaply. Sugandika stays around the wicket for the left-hander and bowls it on a length, across off. Ali gets low and extends her hands to slam it over mid off but fails to get any sort of elevation. Mishits it flat towards Nilakshika Silva there, who takes the catch around her midriff.

Floated up, on off. Shawaal gets down on one knee and drags the lofted hit down to long on. They cross.

Shorter and darted in at the hips from around the wicket. Shawaal nudges it off the back foot to backward square leg.

A bit of yes and no, but they get away with it. Pushed across the left-hander, the length is full. Ali reaches out and cracks the drive to extra cover. Harshitha Samarawickrama cannot make a clean stop and the ball dribbles behind. Shawaal Zulfiqar is keen for a single, but Ali hesitates before committing to the single eventually. Harshitha turns around and recovers to throw it towards the batting end but her throw ends up catching Zulfiqar on the back of her leg.

Too straight, on a good length, on the pads. Ali tickles it towards short fine leg and sets off for the run before being sent back. A good call by Zulfiqar to send her partner, as the ball was in the vicinity of the short fine leg fielder.

Flighted up, outside off. Shawaal Zulfiqar leans across and drives it firmly along the ground to extra cover. Kavisha Dilhari sinks to a knee to make the stop, but the ball bobbles a bit to catch her on the tip of her right thumb. It is parried away in front of mid off and the batters sneak in a quick single.

Curving back in, around off, on a length. Ali gets a good stride in and punches it straight to cover. End of a quiet first over.

Flirting with the tramline, fuller in length. Muneeba Ali offers no shot but does not get the wide call she was looking for.

Strays on the pads, on a length, it moves away late, but Zulfiqar manages to flick it towards deep square leg. A single taken by Shawaal to open her account.

Muneeba and Pakistan are underway. Ayodhya goes full in search of swing but ends up dishing out a low full toss, on off. Ali hangs low and plays the square drive to deep point for a single to get off the mark.

Makes the batter play this time, does Mithali. Drags the length back and gets the ball to tail back in towards the off stump. Muneeba hangs back and stabs it down beside the strip on the off side.

A hint of swing for Mithali. Steams in from over the wicket and lands it full, outside off, with her slingy action. It moves back a bit in the air as Ali makes the leave.
