Metro reboot causes delay

Metro commuters had a tough time on Friday with a number of trains, especially the ones going to Dwarka from Noida, moving slow and stopping at stations longer that expected.

Metro commuters had a tough time on Friday with a number of trains, especially the ones going to Dwarka from Noida, moving slow and stopping at stations longer that expected. Delhi Metro officials said the signalling system and interlocking of tracks was being rebooted—a regular exercise. This led to slowing down and bunching of trains, a DMRC official said.
