Metro shooter found hanging from tree

Eighteen hours after he shot his wife Deepti, 32, and father-in-law Bishan Das, 58, at Karkarduma Metro station, 35-year-old Pawan Kumar committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near Muradnagar railway station in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

The body was discovered by a passenger on Thursday and handed over to his family after an autopsy. The couples’ death has left their daughters, six and one-and-a-half years old, orphans.

Investigators are planning to book a ‘godman’ who allegedly told Kumar to get rid of Das for a better married life.
