Malvika Raaj gets engaged in Turkey: My boyfriend kept it a surprise till the very end

Actor Malvika Raaj talks about getting engaged to her long-time boyfriend Pranav Bagga, and her wedding plans.

Actor Malvika Raaj, best remembered for playing the role of young Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…(2001), surprised her fans when she announced her engagement with businessman Pranav Bagga, and says it was the “right time” to introduce her long-time boyfriend to the world. Bagga, who is a businessman, proposed to Raaj in Cappadocia, Turkey amid hot air balloons.

“I had no clue about his proposal plans. In fact, I thought we were going for a hot balloon ride. But Pranav had something else in mind and he totally surprised me when he pulled out the ring,” exclaims Raaj, adding, “It was a very cute moment which will stay in my mind and heart forever. It changed my life.”

The 29-year-old, who shared share several dreamy pictures from the proposal on Instagram, reveals that the proposal actually happened some two months ago, when they had gone to attend her cousin’s wedding, but she was too occupied to share it with the world. “After coming from Turkey, I was travelling and went to shoot in London for a month-and-a-half. Then I had a shooting schedule in Bhopal. So, I didn’t get time. But I wanted to share this happy moment of my life with everyone,” says the actor, daughter of filmmaker Bobby Raj and Reena Raaj, and granddaughter of actor Jagdish Raaj Khurana.

Sharing about her relationship, the actor tells us that she and Bagga met through mutual friends and have been dating for over 10 years now. “But, I’ve always kept my personal life private, and never spoke about it. And now I felt it was the right time to be out with it, so I went ahead,” she says, calling Bagga her best friend.

“In all these years, we have spent so much time together that he has become my go-to person for everything and in every situation. He is the one person who I need to call and say everything to. We share a very pure relationship and I don’t talk about it much because I believe in nazar,” she shares.

So, when is the wedding? “At the moment, I am enjoying this phase being engaged. Our families are planning the wedding, and laying it all out,” Raaj ends.
