Anupam Kher called Ravi Kishan's daughter Ishita Shukla an inspiration for other girls. She is set to join army under the Agneepath scheme.

Anupam Kher has penned a note of appreciation for Ravi Kishan's daughter Ishita Shukla who is all set to join the army under the Combined Defence Services Examination recruitment scheme. Anupam said Ishita's achievement will lead other girls by example and will inspire them too.

Anupam shared a picture of Ravi Kishan and his daughter Ishita Shukla on Twitter Thursday morning along with a small note in Hindi. The note read: "My dear friend @ravikishann! Read inspirational news about your daughter #Ishita! That she has joined our Defence Forces under the Agniveer scheme. I am happy as well as proud. Give my love and blessings to Ishita. And tell her that this step of hers will become an example of inspiration for millions of girls! Jai Hind!"

Ravi Kishan on Ishita Shukla's plans

Ravi Kishan recently confirmed the news by retweeting posts about Ishita. He had earlier revealed Ishita's plans on Twitter. He had tweeted, “My brave daughter Ishita Shukla has been working very hard for the past 3 years to serve our nation. She is a cadet of 7 Girls Battalion of Delhi Directorate, training in this bitter cold and fighting the fog for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya path." He had also shared, "My daughter Ishita Shukla asked me in the morning that she wants to join the Army via the Agnipath scheme. I said go ahead beta."

Ravi Kishan is married to childhood sweetheart Preeti Kishan. The couple has three daughters--Riva, Tanishk, Ishita and a son--Saksham. All his four kids have stayed away from the film industry.

Anupam Kher's lineup of films

Anupam will now be seen as Jayaprakash Narayan in Kangana Ranaut's Emergency. Kangana has directed the film and also stars as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 24. It also stars Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair and late Satish Kaushik.

Apart from Emergency, he also has Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War in the making. He had also featured in Vivek's The Kashmir Files which went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. He has Signature with Mahima Chaudhary and few more films in other languages as well.
