Anushka and Aditya welcome twin baby girls

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal are now parents to twin baby girls, who were born on August 23, 2026. The couple shared the news with their fans on social media, introducing their daughters as Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal.

The announcement came with an adorable card featuring illustrations of the two little girls. Calling themselves a “very excited” family, Anushka and Aditya shared their happiness and gratitude as they welcomed their daughters. Aditya took to Instagram to a pen a brief note which read, “My sunshines are here to brighten our lives ♥️♥️ Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Vira ♾️ Mahi #TeamGirl ♥️♥️.”

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal's journey to parenthood

The couple had announced Anushka's pregnancy earlier this year through a series of beautiful maternity pictures. The post marked the beginning of an exciting journey for Anushka and Aditya, who shared their happiness about welcoming a new member to their family.

Back in May 2026, the couple spoke about the pregnancy to HT City. Anushka told HT City, “We are a little late in sharing the news as the baby is set to arrive in September. We wanted to give ourselves some time, hence the delay. Also, it has been an overwhelming moment for us to share the news with all. I was more nervous than ever, even announcing my wedding was easier than this, but now I am at peace and relaxed, as people’s response and the way our friends reacted is so emotional for us.”

IVF journey

A few months, on their YouTube channel, Anushka had opened up about her difficult IVF journey and the constant support she received from her husband, Aditya, throughout the process. “I have taken around 150 injections, minimum. Initially, Adi(tya Seal) used to administer them. I used to get very scared. They were thick and oil-based. When he used to put the needle in, I used to cry in pain. I used to see him walking to me with the injection, and I was like, ‘I just cannot deal with this anymore. I don’t know how I’m going to do this,’” she recalled.

She had also revealed that she and Aditya had been thinking about starting a family since 2023. However, it was her sister Akansha Ranjan who encouraged her to see a doctor and seek professional advice. “You know, from childhood we are taught that if you get intimate with someone, you'll get pregnant. And it's not true. It's really not true,” she added. She further explained the chances of conceiving naturally, adding, “Your chances are only 15% every cycle to have a baby. I was shocked that we are never given this information.”

About the couple

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal first crossed paths on June 26, 2017, at an event organised by Anushka’s NGO, Beti. What started as a meeting eventually turned into a relationship, and after dating for a few years, the two got married in Mumbai in November 2021.
