Conan O'Brien leaves Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha speechless
The promo shows Conan eager to become a Bollywood star. He asks Richa and Ali, “I haven’t become a Bollywood star. Do you think I have what it takes?” Richa gives a savage response, saying, “Everyone can dream.” Ali adds, “You can’t just come in, pitch that you want to be a star and that too somewhere you don’t really belong.” Conan is stunned by their response.
Richa adds, “We are huge fans of you but I don’t think you are Bollywood material.” A shocked Conan then makes it his mission to convince Richa and Ali, saying, “I can sing, I can dance and play sitar with one hand.” However, Ali and Richa have only one concern: “Can you speak Hindi?”
Conan then reveals that he can’t speak Hindi but “sings Hindi”. This is followed by Conan singing, “Namaste, mera naam Conan hai (Namaste, my name is Conan),” while dancing to the song. Ali and Richa are left too stunned to speak.
The internet also reacted to Conan “singing Hindi”. One of the comments read, “That song is gonna be in my head for DAYS. THANKS A LOT, CONAN.” Another commented, “Everyone can dream. Such a dig at so many people ohh god (laughing emojis).” Another fan wrote, “This is exactly what we deserve right now.” Another comment read, “This episode is insane, I love it.” Another fan wrote, “Conan vs. Bollywood?! The crossover we didn’t know we needed.”
