The teaser revealed Ranbir Kapoor’s look as Lord Rama and also offered a glimpse of Yash as Ravana. However, the internet seems to have mixed reactions to it.

A Reddit user shared the teaser on the platform and wrote, "Giving Adipurush 2.0 vibes with slightly better VFX." Another commented, "I thought it is some fan-made trailer and they took some snaps from Adipurush." Another wrote, "Who are the people that are saying this looks good shots look AI-enhanced or something and the third one reminds me of Adipurush."

Another X user shared a clip from the Ramayana teaser and wrote, “bro, here i legit thought I'm watching Adipurush 2.0.”

However, several users on X praised Ranbir’s look as Lord Rama. One of them shared screengrabs from the film and wrote, "This is peak cinema, man! Mind blowing visuals. Casting is absolutely on point. #RanbirKapoor, my man I love you! Jai Shree Ram. #Ramayana."

Producer Namit Malhotra has said that the two films have a combined budget of about ₹4,000 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film production by quite some distance.
