The teenager has been charged with assault after stabbing the man, prosecutors say.

Dallas Smith tried and failed to do a backflip, which led to some taunting, the Everett Herald reports. The situation then escalated, prosecutors allege.

As Smith left the party, she allegedly used a steak knife from the kitchen to stab a man who'd been teasing her. The police found the man sitting on the porch with the knife still in his back. It had collapsed his lung, but he's expected to be fine.

Smith was charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and released on $50,000 bail.
