BLACKPINK's Jisoo to star in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint alongside Lee Min-ho

Jisoo is reportedly set to star in the upcoming webtoon film adaptation Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint alongside Lee Min-ho

South Korean singer Jisoo, 28, is all set to star in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, a film adaptation of the popular namesake webtoon. Alongside the BLACKPINK star, the upcoming film will have Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Nana as the lead cast members. The filming is scheduled to begin in December and is produced by Realies Pictures, famous for films like - Confession, Masquerade, Warriors of the Dawn, and the action film series Along With the Gods.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint revolves around Kim Dokja, portrayed by Hyo-seop, who suddenly finds himself in a world that changes according to the novel he has been reading, and the subsequent events as he tries to save the world. Moreover, Min-ho will star as Yoo Jung-hyuk, the protagonist of the novel, while Nana takes on the role of Jeong Hee-won. Jisoo is expected to play the role of Lee Ji-hye, who teams up with Dokja. The supporting cast of the upcoming film also includes Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Jeong Seong-il, and Park Ho-san.

As per MyDramaList, the film's official synopsis reads, “Dokja was an average office worker whose sole interest was reading his favourite web novel, ‘Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse’. However, when the novel suddenly becomes a reality, he becomes the only person who knows how the world will end. Armed with this realization, Dokja uses his understanding to change the course of the story and the world as he knows it.”

The news of Jisoo's casting in the film took social media by storm as several fan pages posted updates about the offer she received for the film. As per one of such posts on X, formerly Twitter, YG Entertainment has released a statement saying, “Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is one of the proposed works and Jisoo is currently considering it.”
