He says, “I am not joining politics, neither will I contest during elections. My duty is to be with the party whenever it needs me to campaign for issues that will benefit the city, and work for its betterment. I believe my efforts will make a difference.”

The composer already has a list of issues in the city that, according to him, need to be resolved at the earliest.

“I want Mumbai’s traffic woes to end. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has also inspired me, and I will take it forward. A lot of work will also be done towards providing better medical facilities to the needy,” says Malik.

He also wants the general public to join him in his initiatives. “On my end, I will also ask people to work with me. I don’t mind sweeping the roads, and I am confident that people from my neighbourhood and my friend circle will join me while I take up issues for the city’s betterment,” he says.
