Actor Katie Holmes, who recently parted ways with actor Tom Cruise, is said to have found solace in the company of American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, during the last few weeks of her divorce settlement.

According to a source, the actor has been talking regularly with Lythgoe, also known as "Nasty Nigel" since the time when he was a judge on Popstars, the Sun reported.

Holmes, who is all set to make her first public appearance since the split at a charity fundraiser on July 28 in Los Angeles, US, will also host the event alongside the 63-year-old producer.

"Katie has been in regular touch with Nigel recently as they organise the event. They're hosting a party together to raise money for her charity in LA later this month," the source said. "They should invite Katie to the UK, away from any menacing motors following her," the source added.
