Ranveer Singh, Rakhi Sawant set red carpet on fire at ITA awards, fans call them 'Ram-milayi jodi'

Ranveer Singh and Rakhi Sawant had a rather hilarious meeting at the Indian Television Academy Awards held in Mumbai on Sunday.

It was a house on fire as Ranveer Singh and Rakhi Sawant met on the red carpet of the Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA) held in Mumbai on Sunday. The two looked super excited on meeting each other and even performed Ranveer's Tatad Tatad hookstep from his film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The two also had a small chat and posed for pictures in their own style. Rakhi even posed while holding Ranveer's leg in her arms as the paparazzi cheered for them.

Rakhi, who was in a shimmery black outfit paired with a large rose-shaped bonnet, greeted Ranveer and said, "Aaj main ped bani hu, fool lagaya lia (I have dressed up as a tree today, I have put up a flower on my head)." Rakhi also did Allu Arjun's hand gesture from his film Pushpa and Ranveer copied her in the same style. Ranveer was also in a black and white suit with his hair tied in a bun.

A fan reacted, "They both have equal level of energy and madness." Another called them, “Ram milayi jodi..lag rahi hi ek dum.” One more fan said, “rab ne bana di jodi (a pair made in heaven).” “Dono bhai behan (both are brother and sister),” read yet another comment. A fan even said, “Aaj deepika ranveer ko ghar ni ghusne degi (Today Deepika will not let Ranveer enter the house).”

Rakhi also shared a video in which she was travelling back home in a car with Rajeev Khimchi. They are seen chatting in the video about all that happened at the event. Talking about meeting Ranveer, she said, “Ranveer is my sweetheart.” She also called him and Alia Bhatt her “best friends".

Rakhi had also met Alia Bhatt at the event and said that she told her about how “amazing” she was in Gangubai Kathiawadi. They posed for photographers on the red carpet.
