Unbothered Dhruv Vikram hits the beach amid controversy over Anupama Parameswaran saying she faced narcissistic abuse

Anupama Parameswaran refused to take names and addressed how she suffered in a relationship that lasted for around two years.

The name of Dhruv Vikram has been popping up on social media ever since his Bison co-star and rumoured ex-girlfriend Anupama Parameswaran broke silence about her cryptic post in an interview. Anupama grabbed attention after she spoke on Dhanya Varma’s YouTube channel about a narcissistic ex-boyfriend whom she dated for two years.

How did Dhruv react?

Although she did not name Dhruv in her comments, there have been several rumours which stated that she had been dating actor Vikram’s son for the last few months. Dhruv has now shared a video on his Instagram Stories, where he wasn't seen but captured the waves hitting the beach as the dusk set in. A kid also rushed towards the waves, while a few others were also seen enjoying the serene environment of the beach. Dhruv did not add any caption or post any comment about the ongoing speculations surrounding him, choosing peace and silence over name-calling.

Anupama details what she faced in the relationship

Meanwhile, Anupama compared her unnamed ex-boyfriend to Vikram’s 2005 hit Anniyan character, in which he has a split personality. “A very funny kind of explanation, but for people who don’t know about narcissistic abuse, imagine having Anniyan in your life. One day, he’s Remo, like you would feel, how lucky am I to get a person in my life? Is this even reality?’ It’s like a dream. The next day, you would see Anniyan.”

Detailing what she healed from, Anupama added, “I have gone through narcissistic abuse for two years. I can imagine a few categories of people now. First, people like me, when I first saw Madonna Sebastian talking about narcissistic abuse in a reel on Instagram, and my reaction to that was so physical that I started shivering. The first category who know who have suffered, the family and friends who have seen someone suffer. The second category who have no idea about it. They must have heard the term but they did not have to research about it, and the third one who would called it gender-based, and post negative comments based on assumptions. The next category is to who I want to talk to, those who have been there and haven't identified it yet. That is the most dangerous category.”

Rumours of the two dating

In early 2025, rumours surfaced that Dhruv and Anupama were dating while they were shooting for Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan. This only intensified as an unverified picture of them kissing began circulating, with fans claiming to have found it as the display picture for their shared Spotify playlist. At a Chennai awards show this year, Anupama blushed as Dhruv wished her a happy birthday on stage, and she called him her 2 AM call. When he posted a cosy selfie with her from another award show in Mumbai, she re-shared it with a heart.

Anupama recently shared a video of herself enjoying nature and spending time at the beach. She captioned the post, "Sometimes, you have to let go of the dead ends to finally find your peace. ✂️🤍And today, peace found me. From today, I choose my voice. I choose my life. No more permissions. No more fear. Just me, finding my way back to myself and falling in love with the life I almost forgot was mine. And there’s something I’ve wanted to say for a very long time…Something I wasn’t allowed to say for far too long. I love you all. ❤️" This was the post that caught attention of many, as Anupama revealed that it signalled the process of her healing after the end of that relationship.
