Hollywood star Christian Bale will star in historical romance The Promise to be directed by Hotel Rwanda director Terry George.
Hollywood star Christian Bale will star in historical romance The Promise to be directed by Hotel Rwanda director Terry George.
The film, set in the last days of the Ottoman Empire, centres on the relationships between Michael (Isaac), a brilliant medical student; the beautiful and sophisticated Ana; and Chris (Bale), who is a renowned American journalist based in Paris, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Bale, 41, along with rest of the cast will shoot in Southern Europe including Portugal and the Canary Islands.
Mike Medavoy, Eric Esrailian, Ralph Winter and William Horberg are on board as producers.
The Batman triology star was last seen in Exodus: Gods and Kings. His upcoming films include Terrence Malick's Knight of
Cups, The Big Short with Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling and Malick's Weightless.
