Dinesh Karthik has returned to the Indian cricket team for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand starting on October 22.

Karthik, who was part of the India squad for the ICC Champions Trophy and the West Indies series, wasn’t considered for the Sri Lanka and Australia ODIs before making a return to the T20I team for the recently concluded series versus David Warner’s men.

Shikhar Dhawan, who missed the five ODIs against Australia to be with his ailing wife, has been named in the squad.
