6 more kids die of encephalitis, toll 232
Six more children succumbed to encephalitis on Thursday at BRD Medical College Hospital here, while 19 fresh cases of encephalitis were admitted, official sources said.

Six more children succumbed to encephalitis on Thursday at BRD Medical College Hospital here, while 19 fresh cases of encephalitis were admitted, official sources said.
With this, the toll due to deadly disease has mounted to 232 in the division, additional director health Dr L.P. Rawat said, adding that 164 patients are being treated at BRD Medical College.
He said 1,066 patients suffering from Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome were admitted this year to hospitals of the region.
