Desperate to please her husband, a woman in Jharkhand has sold her seven-month baby girl for Rs. 2,200 because he wanted a son.
Reports in local newspapers said Jhuleka in Jamshedpur had even stopped feeding her baby on her husband's instructions.
While Jhuleka's mother says her daughter was never married, neighbours say this was not so and the couple had a baby girl.
