Big names to grace Manfest

FOR THREE days from Thursday ? January 20 ? IIM-Lucknow would play host to a galaxy of top names. Sam Pitroda, who is regarded as the father of IT Revolution in India would be here and so would be Boman Irani, ace actor and photographer. Geet Sethi is expected and so is famous army man, Major Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

FOR THREE days from Thursday — January 20 — IIM-Lucknow would play host to a galaxy of top names.

Sam Pitroda, who is regarded as the father of IT Revolution in India would be here and so would be Boman Irani, ace actor and photographer. Geet Sethi is expected and so is famous army man, Major Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

The ‘Leaders’ Express’ is not bound to stop here. For also arriving for IIM-Lucknow’s Aditya Birla Manfest this year are other top names like Rajat Gupta, recently nominated as co- chairman of the UN, Ishat Hussain, director (finance) Tata Sons, Arvind Singhal, MD of KSA Technopak India, Sunil Handa, a leading industrialist who has also set up the Eklavya Education Foundation, Gautam Bhimani, the ‘layman’ who entertains viewers between cricket breaks, R Gopalakrishnan, director of several Tata Group companies.

On Saturday, IIM-L community would remember its alumni, S Manjunath, who died fighting corruption. Former IIM-L students associated with the ‘3.4 Kilometre’ campus band would gather together on Saturday evening to sing for Manjunath and his “heroic effort.”

Manfest is the flagship event of IIM-Lucknow. It is the magnum opus where the entire IIM- Lucknow community comes together to share, learn and celebrate.

With active cooperation from director IIM-Lucknow, Dr Devi Singh and Chairman Students Affairs Dr. Dharmendra Singh Sengar Manfest this year is expected to bigger and better from last year. Says Prof Sengar, “We would like to see Manfest as the biggest B-School festival in Asia by 2010”.

Prof Sengar added, “We have received tremendous support from our Corporate Partners over the years, which has been the pivot of our phenomenal success.”

Eminent management professionals & students from all corners of the country are expected to gather this year for a three day showdown to exchange ideas and to update themselves on the latest developments in the area of management & leadership.
