Backing JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar's efforts to form a Government in Bihar, the BJP on Sunday said it was ready to make "compromises" in view of the fractured mandate in the state assembly polls.

"In view of the ticklish political situation due to the fractured mandate in the assembly polls, the BJP is ready to make compromises provided leaders of other anti-RJD parties shed their egos and get on to the business of forming a Government," state BJP President Gopal Narayan Singh told reporters after a two-day party state executive meeting.

Taking a dig at LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan, Singh said the two major components of the anti-RJD grouping -- NDA and LJP -- could confortably form a Government, but despite the required numbers the exercise was not moving forward.

"What Paswan has in his mind is beyond everyones undertanding," Singh said, adding the BJP was watching the "drama".

Despite being kept away, the BJP was not "disappointed" at Kumar's initiative to form a Government, he said, adding his party was still in touch with the JD (U) and LJP leaders for formation of a Government in the state.

Without naming Paswan, Singh said singing paens of President's Rule in the state by some leaders reflected their "mental bankruptcy" as the elections were fought to remove RJD government and form an alternative and better Government, which could work for their development.

The meet adopted a resolution thanking people of Bihar for ousting the RJD from power.
