Check anarchy on campus: AU students

AU Students Union president Ajit Kumar Yadav, who led the students’ delegation, said that the V-C told the delegates that a meeting of former and present office-bearers of AU Students Union, student leaders and students would be held on February 11. The V-C said that the meeting had been called to welcome the ideas to check the growing anarchy in the varsity.
Student leaders Suresh Yadav, Bihari Lal Amber, Kalpana, Rajesh Singh, Gyanendra Pratap Singh and many others were present in the meeting.
The All India Students Association (AISA) handed over a three-point memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Rajan Harshe on Monday.
AISA secretary Rajeev Kumar Yadav said that students had put forth their demands through the memorandum. The students had expressed their resentment over the prevailing conditions in the varsity which were hampering their preparations for the examinations.
The memorandum was handed over in presence of many AISA leaders including Rajeev Yadav, Lakshman Prasad, Seema Yadav and Shivaji.
Effigy burnt: Meanwhile, a section of the students burnt the effigy of the Vice-chancellor in protest against the growing anarchy in the university.
AU students under the leadership of former vice-president Dr Nirbhay Singh Patel, Vijay Kumar Dwivedi and Ripusoodan Yadav staged an agitation and burnt the effigy front of the V-C’s office.
Patel said that the university administration had failed to check anarchy in the varsity and demanded concrete steps within 24 hours, otherwise the students would intensify the protest.
